Measurement of the axis kinematics on 5-axis machines for verifying and optimising the machine accuracy.
Characteristics
- The precise position of the rotary axes can be verified or re-established where necessary using the measuring probe and a calibrating ball positioned on the rotary table
Benefits
- Changes to the machine geometry are considered during the calculation and coordinate transformations, hence increasing the machine's operating accuracy
Requirements
- The machine basic geometry conforms to the HELLER Acceptance Report
- Only in conjunction with the options: measuring probe, measuring kit
- A calibrated measuring probe is used
- The calibrating ball from the HELLER measuring kit or an equivalent calibrating ball is used
- Application is in accordance with the procedure communicated during the Heller briefing
