SIEMENS is phasing out the proven first generation of 1FK7 feed motors - this generation of motors is no longer manufactured by SIEMENS. Repaired or used feed motors must be used as spare parts. The availability of these motors is falling rapidly. The additional repair times extend the machine downtime by days or weeks.
Characteristics
- Software update the NCU to GIV2.6 SP01 HF03 including data backup
- The software update prepares the machine for operation with 1FK7 (Generation 2) motors
- The update can be carried out before a motor fails or in combination with other work on the machine (e.g. motor replacement)
- Affected feed motors installed in: Tool magazine, tool changer, feed drive axes X & Z, rotary table axis B, pallet storage, magazine door, lift
