The tangential control allows tracking of the rotary axis in the direction of the tangent of two path axes. It is applied for example if a tool, oriented towards the tangent (tangential), is to be guided to the traversed workpiece contour.
Characteristics
- The cycles permit any ZX contours with straight and circular elements
- Contours can be executed with or without path correction (cutting radius correction) G40 / G41 / G42
- Boring bars with suitable cutting edge shapes (similar to turning tools) are used as machining tools
