Dear customers, partners and colleagues
Public life has almost come to a standstill by now and nobody can currently say how the coronavirus pandemic will develop going forward or what the consequences for the society or the economy will be. Therefore, we are very closely monitoring current developments regarding the spread of the novel coronavirus and we remain in constant contact with the local authorities at our locations.
However, one thing is certain: to HELLER, the protection of our employees as well as our customers and business partners is of paramount importance. Therefore, we took steps as soon as the first cases became known in China at the end of January in order to minimise the spread of the virus within the operating environment of our business. Already a few weeks ago, a crisis management team made up of important functions from various divisions of the company was established. Together with the Management, it continually reassesses the situation and takes measures accordingly.
Therefore, please understand that apart from some very rare exceptions, we will not allow any visitors to our headquarters in Nürtingen until further notice. This also applies to the extensive education and training programme provided by HELLER. Our staff will of course continue to be available to you via digital means of communication!
For health and safety reasons, our employees have been prohibited from travelling to the designated high-risk areas and we strongly advise against anyone travelling in the coming weeks. Furthermore, we have implemented a comprehensive range of health and safety measures at our premises in Nürtingen.
Moreover, to us as an employer it is understood that we will help our staff by flexibilising their working hours in these exceptional circumstances in a non-bureaucratic way, in order to enable them to meet their individual everyday challenges in the best possible manner. I am convinced that we can only deal with this exceptional situation if we pull together.
Therefore, we hope for your understanding and are already looking forward to working with you in the future.
Finally, and most importantly: we hope that you and the members of your family stay well and healthy in this challenging time!
Sincerely
Klaus Winkler, CEO of the HELLER Group
